Declaration of Independence Video

Today In class we learned a bit more on the Declaration of Independence. We learned more in depth behind some of the smaller lines that may seem not as important, but have a major impact. We watched a video of famous actors reading the full declaration and went later into discussion on 9/11. The lines that we went over had to do with rights that all men had (white men). We discussed how when they say men they mean people, but of the people, it only included white men, not women, or black men. We decided what they meant when they referenced God and how it means any type of God, not only the Christian God. Later we discussed the wrong doings of the British and what a government is meant to be. We talked about how as soon as the government is taking the natural given rights of the people away, it is only right to split off and make a new government that will give all people the rights deserved.
