Julius Caesar Video Day
Today in class we finished our last pre-test video, on Julius Caesar. We started off while his soldiers were rebelling because they were doing too much, like battling, traveling, and using all their time. He told Mark Antony to decimate his army, meaning one out of every of the ten people rebelling would be killed by being beat with a massive mallet. His army reduced in size and he lost his next battle. After that battle, he was on the run and was running out of supplies. The Roman army was planning on waiting for Caesar to beat himself, but the senators got greedy and wanted to beat him as soon as they could because they were using all of their money. The next battle began between the two and Caesar won by a landslide, and eventually took power of Rome after the deaths of most of the opposing powerful people. He was assassinated by some of his opposers including Brutus, Cassius, and some other senators. Octavius Caesar came to power and led Rome to over 200 years of peace.
